Have you ever found yourself at work sitting typing on your laptop, glancing down at your phone only to notice it's at 20%? You scramble into your bag only to find no charger in sight. You start thinking of all the ways you can make this last the rest of the day, closing apps, shutting off Bluetooth, turning on power save … the list goes on. All the while your laptop sits there plugged in full of power you can’t use to help yourself.

Look down at your laptop you see all that space beside your trackpad? Now lay your phone on it. BOOM imagine a world that your phone is now charging, pulling from your laptop. Your phone battery problem has been solved and you don't need extra cords or external batteries. You carry around a giant battery all day.

Have you ever been sitting in a meeting and had an AirPod die or see your charging case is low? You know you have a meeting break coming up soon but again, no way to charge your AirPods. Look down at your laptop you see all that space beside your trackpad? Now lay your AirPods on it. BOOM imagine a world that your charging case is now charging, pulling from your laptop. Better yet, look up above your useless touchbar, or useful function keys, what if you could nestle your charging case right there and draw power?

This isn't a revolutionary idea, others have tried similar in the past.

This falls right in the Apple product design wheelhouse. Let others do it first and then come out with your slightly different but really exactly the same version of it. Claim it as your own groundbreaking concept, see people point out it's not original, then see people use it-buy it-love it.

I know I have found myself in this situation a few times and wondered why can’t it be that easy. I would think I am not the only one and writing this article is my way to ask other users if they have had similar thoughts. Get enough traction here and maybe someone takes notice.
